As an 8th grader Grace has become even more beautiful. I never knew it was possible to be beautiful in middle school and with braces, but she is.
In the spring Grace went on her first mission trip to Mexico. She fell in love with a child named Lupita who was left along with her 3 brothers the day before Grace arrived. Lupita did not know her mother wasn't returning. After several days passed Grace noticed Lupita laying on the dirt crying at the end of a playground slide. One of the adults tried to console her without success. Grace layed down in the dirt next to Lupita saying nothing. The image still warms my heart. Grace knew just what that little girl needed at that moment.
One of Grace's many gifts is her sweet and tender heart. She loves and feels deeply. There are not words to express how much I love her and how proud I am to be her mom. Looking forward to year 14. I hope it goes slow because at 15 she will be in High School and can get her temps!!!
