Frontier Day 6

My little mouse friend was never located, and no one felt sorry for me due to the fact that there was a BEAR in camp. Yes a bear. They fired blank shots into the air to scare him away. He was in the middle of the camp by the basketball court. They campers have no idea, they were in club having a great time, while the staff was chasing Bo Bo away. Young Life does such an incredible job at making this experience for the campers there best ever. What goes on behind the scenes is amazing. We are blessed to be part of team.

Since the sighting we have been hearing all kinds of bear stories about bears at Frontier. I guess they are everywhere and come into camp often to find food. These are black bears and they are aggressive. Its a bit unnerving, but what can you do? Next year I am going to bring bear spray or something.

We had a relaxing morning and spent the early part of the day at the pool. Did I mention that the pool here is heating by a natural hot spring and the water is always 80 degrees. They have a water slide that Clay and the girls love.

After lunch we rode horses. My horse's name was CHUBS. Lets just say that it was appropriate. After the horses we went and drove ridge runners. These are small cars that you get to drive on dirt course. They are very fun.

The evening ended with a bit of teenage drama. A girl had a fake pass out episode and she threw in a mini fake seizure to make it even more believable. LOL! Due to protocol Bryan had her go to the ED for an evaluation. Its sad, but some many kids are seeking attention and they will go to great lengths to get it.

The kids leave tonight and we leave early in the morning. Happy 4th of July!
