A New Home

Earlier this morning I sent out a ton of emails with a picture of my cute little problem. At 11:00 I had no responses. It looked like the shelter was the only option. Thank goodness for no kill shelters. I've since learned that a normal shelter will put down a dog after 3 days even if it is a puppy.

At noon my sister called to see if I was home and I was which is rare. A lady she works with was interested. She came to visit on her lunch break and immediately fell for him. She is a mom with a 2 year old little boy and she wanted a pet. PERFECT! My prayer was that I could fine him a good home and get him there before picking up my kids from school and having another night of puppy love.

I packed the little guy up and dropped him off at the law office on my way to get the kids. With a red bow around his neck and his web-kinz dogs to snuggle with he was hand delivered to his new owner. The whole office went crazy over him. He will be loved.

I am officially banned from any rescue centers, pet stores, and probably the zoo. Bryan wants to substitute a darling puppy with rodents. He thinks gerbils are wonderful. My second grade teacher had gerbils and one of them ate her babies. Sick. Rodents are sick. If he gets them he has to clean the cage, feed them, the whole job.

Reuben just returned from the groomer looking quite handsome and he is happy to be king of his domain again. Reuben and I were meant for each other. Remind me of that when I start talking puppy again.

Poor Kevin - life with me as his wife seems so boring and predictable when compared to the 'I Love Lucy-esque' schemes that you pull.
