Cop Call

Middle school girls are a challenge. My darling husband volunteered to drive 6 of them around in his car for a photo scavenger hunt on Friday night. He agreeded to turn off his CNBC and turn on the Hits station and to try not to embarass Grace. Six middle school girls is more than I could handle and I am grateful for his adventerous spirit.

I was looking forward to a peaceful evening at home. Clay had some boys over to play and my friend Karen came over to hang out with me. Karen is moving soon and we were studying pictures of homes on the internet when the door bell rang. I peered out to the window to see a police car parked in front of my house. Sure enough, there was an officer at my front door.

He explained that a complaint had been called in about a car whose liscense plate was registered to my home. Confused, I said why? A man had been spotted taking pictures of young girls and some people were concered.

I had to tell the cop that my husband had given up his weekend to drive 6 girls around for 4 hours. The policeman laughed as did I. Poor Bryan.
