My 13 year old daughter Grace, traveled to Mexico to participate in a missions trip. Every year her school holds a special chapel service for the kids to share their experience. Grace told me that chapel was today so I grabbed a latte from Starbucks and headed over to be an observer.
The principal Rob got up to speak and announced that the Mexico chapel wouldn't be for 3 weeks. Thinking of everything I had to do I was about to get up and walk out, but I didn't want to be rude so I stayed put. Rob talked to the kids about laughter and shared that laughter is a gift from God and we need to laugh. He then shared a practical joke video that was quite funny.
He told the kids that it didn't have any spiritual significance, he just wanted them to laugh. Then they were dismissed. How cool is he? A middle school principal who actually encourages his students to cut up. It made my day, and I was glad that I was there. I hope you get to laugh today!!
